The New York State Department of Labor Workforce Development Team has many opportunities for New Yorkers new and old to access jobs. 

Available Assistance:

  • Participants need authorization to work in the US.

  • The DOL helps New Yorkers prepare for and connect to jobs across New York City, in every sector of the economy. Many jobs require minimal (or no) English skills and are in sectors (construction, food service, and home health care) that hire large numbers of immigrants.

  • All services offered by the DOL are free of charge, with translation services available for those in need.

    New York's Career Centers offer a variety of classes, workshops, job fairs, job clubs including virtual career fairs and virtual workshops, including informational sessions on a variety of topics. They also offer recruitments for numerous companies.

    The Division of Labor Standards protects all workers, including those that are undocumented or paid off the books, and ensures employers are following Labor Laws. Our goal is to ensure that all New York workers are being paid the proper wages, do not have their right to a meal period or day of rest violated, and to uphold New York State Labor Laws.
